Vanessa is a Senior Coach, Presenter and Board Director with Business Coaching firm Shirlaws as well as a program designer and lecturer in the Sydney Business School Applied Coaching Skills module for the Masters of Business Coaching degree. With over 10,000 hours coaching experience Vanessa has a diverse background in supporting businesses and individuals to transform and grow. Her coaching background incorporates the fields of finance, marketing, pharmaceutical, legal, accounting, IT, recruitment, telecommunications and tourism/hospitality ranging from larger corporates to owner-operated smaller businesses.
As well as coaching Vanessa also runs communication and leadership masterclasses and trains the coaches within Shirlaws. Focus areas within Vanessa’s coaching portfolio have included change management, business strategy, leadership development, sales and relationship management, people management and organisational culture.
Vanessa currently supports a team of Shirlaws coaches in NSW in a mentoring role as well as working directly with CEO’s, executive teams, managers, partnerships and boards to fulfill their love for business. Vanessa believes that leaders create leaders and she supports her clients to go beyond what they have believed to be possible.
Vanessa’s professional background also includes over 10 years of relationship management in the IT industry where she was awarded sales person of the year and employee of the year for a multinational software company with over 5000 staff.
Prior to joining Shirlaws Vanessa ran a Change Management Consulting Firm advising corporations on their strategic change processes in the fields of finance, banking and insurance and federal and local government. Part of establishing this business required extensive training in the US with ODR (Organisational Development Resources) to acquire Advanced Practitioner Status in the worlds leading behavioural change management methodology for organizations.
Vanessa is a registered organisational psychologist who also has over 10 years experience in relationship management and business development in IT.
Vanessa is also the mother of two children.
