Mentorship for Mentors In-house!
A mentor training Handbook to unlock and develop talent within your organisation. We have two versions of our popular handbook – Corporate Executives and SME Owner Operators. The ARG ‘in-house mentorship programs’ will benefit your key personnel greatly by placing their natural skills and acquired learning into context as mentors within the business. At ARG we believe that sharing knowledge and know-how is just as valuable as offering our services.

Promote a mentoring culture within your organisation
Professionalize and skill-up those who are in your cadre of internal mentors
- Unlock the potential of your own talented people;
- Develop a mentoring culture that uses both external and internal talent (there is still a need for both based on circumstance and preferences);
- Develop senior people who are much more aware and emotionally resilient;
- Unlock cost effective resources within the business and recognise hidden capacity, celebrate it.
The evolution of mentoring and coaching has seen both blossom in popularity. However, mentoring is not as well defined or understood, nor are the frameworks in which it is most effective and satisfying to experience. Like a coach, a mentor has to have more than just a natural gift with which to sustain, guide and challenge their mentee towards exceptional improvement. Combining elements from research, our own training, expertise and experiences, ARG through the merger with iMentor-pro now offers the first fully comprehensive training handbook for business-based mentors - The Art of the Business-Mentor.
Use our Handbook and trainers (active senior-level mentors) to provide a thorough and detailed insight into the realm of business-mentoring. We provide methodology, process, feedback and a suite of skill-sets & checklists with which a mentor can more successfully assist their mentee(s).
We also recognise that not everyone is destined to be a good mentor. Our process enables insight that provides a gracious way for some to stand down from the expectation that they can mentor.
With some 51% of Australian organisations considering formal programs in mentoring and coaching (2006 study), the need to look internally for mentoring talent will be essential. Some 43% of executives and emerging talent see benefits in accessing a mentor, external or internal, in order to meet the complexity and challenges of contemporary corporate life.
The Art of the Business-Mentor is a full two-day course, delivered internally to between 8-16 participants. The 80 page handbook is in four Modules containing some 45 sections. At a practical level it is comprehensive and immediately useable. The learning format is discussion, example and practice based around the handbook text.
One leader told us:
“I would say if you have mentoring done well, it can change your life, and your life as a business leader. But that person needs to know what they are doing within a framework of specific understanding. Some are natural, most need training. It is too risky without this rigour.”
